Smart Beetle Bluetooth pairing with iOS mobile devices

Information

Please use the steps below to pair Smart Beetle with your IOS device and VoiceOver:

  1. Turn on your Smart Beetle and make sure it is in "Pairing BRL" Mode.
  2. On your iPhone, navigate to Settings/General/Accessibility/VoiceOver/Braille.
  3. If Bluetooth is not activated on the iPhone, it will prompt you to do this. When Bluetooth is activated, the iPhone searches for devices.
  4. The Smart Beetle should appear in the list of available Braille devices under the name “BrailleSense--- wherein --- represents a numeric value.
  5. Double tap the Smart Beetle in the Braille devices list.
  6. After a few seconds, you should hear a chime on the iPhone, and the text displayed on the iPhone should appear on the Braille display of your Smart Beetle.
Note

Press "Space-K" for VoiceOver keyboard help. Once keyboard help is enabled, press any key combination to hear its function.
