SmartVision 2 - Disable phone PIN request

Problem

A SmartVision 2 user has set a PIN request to appear when unlocking their SmartVision 2 phone.
 

Applies to

  1. SmartVision 2

Resolution

Please not that this procedure assumes that the PIN number is known in order to unlock the phone.

Step 1 - Unlock phone

  1. Press power key then press DOWN ARROW to the lock symbol and press OK.
  2. Enter the PIN number that has been set and press OK.

Step 2 -Disable PIN prompt

  1. On Home screen press MENU key, then using DOWN ARROS select Settings, then press OK.
  2. Press DOWN ARROW to locate Security and press OK.
  3. ARROW down to Power button instantly lock setting, then press OK to disable.  The PIN unlock will be disabled when waking the phone.
