SmartVision 3: How to access links in text messages

Problem

When receiving text messages that contain links on the SmartVision 3 mobile phone there may be problems accessing and executing the link.

Resolution

Please try the two methods described below which have come from the developers.

Method 1:

  1. Open the messages application
  2. Open the discussion that contains the message with the link you want to open
  3. Select with the navigation arrows in the conversation history, the message containing the link then make a long press on "Menu".
  4. Select "Links" from the Talkback menu.
  5. Select the link from the different choices and confirm with the OK key to open the browser.
Warning

Sometimes Talkback selects the whole message with the preview and in this case the "LINKS" option does not appear. If the "LINKS" option does not appear with the long press on Menu (step 3) of the method 1, try the second method:

Method 2:

Open the messages application
Open the discussion that contains the message with the link you want to open
Select with the navigation arrows in the conversation history, the message containing the link then make a long press on "OK".
Arrow down once (to select only the message without the preview)
Make a long press on Menu.
Select "Links" from the Talkback menu.
Select the link from the different choices and confirm with the OK key to open the browser.
