SmartVision 3 - Updating Android to version 12 and beyond
Problem
A SmartVision customer asks if SmartVision 3 will update beyond Android 11 with which it was shipped.
Resolution
- Kapsys have informed Sight & Sound that later Android versions break compatibility with existing software. Due to this update to later Android version is unlikely.
- Security updates for Android 11 will continue for at another 3 years as of April 2024.
