SmartVision – Disable PIN prompt to unlock phone

Problem

A SmartVision 3 has been set to a request a PIN number on wake and the user wishes to disable this feature.

Applies to

  1. SmartVision 3

Resolution

To disable the PIN request you must already know the PIN number to disable this feature.
  1. Press Menu Key at the home screen, then select Settings and press OK.
  2. Select Security and press OK.
  3. Select SIM card lock.
  4. Select Lock SIM card – Require PIN to use phone.
  5. Enter your 4 digit pin code and press OK.
  6. Select and confirm “OK” button on the screen.
SIM pin code is now disabled.
