Smartvision phone is no longer charging

Problem

When connected to the power adaptor the phone no longer appears to charge anymore.

Resolution

Most likely the problem will be simple. Please check the following.

• Charge cable: - The charge cable may have been damaged or gone faulty. Try to borrow or purchase a a USB A to USB C cable and try that with the phone to see if it helps.
• Charger - The phone charger may have gone faulty, try using another USB charger and possibly cable to see if the phone then charges.
• Battery - The battery may not be making proper contact with the phone electronics because it has moved as a result some jolt (see steps below).

  1. Disconnect the phone from any charger and turn the phone over so the back is facing you.
  2. Then in the lower left corner feel for a notch on the corner and gently prise up the back panel.
  3. You will need to go all the way around gently lifting it until it comes away from the catches.
  4. Inside use a fingernail at the bottom of the battery and gently lift out from the bottom.
  5. Then whilst you have the back off press and hold the power button of the phone for 20 seconds.
  6. Then afterwards replace the battery back and close up the back of the phone.
