Microsoft - Start Windows Magnifier
Problem
For some support tasks setting up or troubleshooting ZoomText problems it may be necessary to assist customers in getting Windows Magnifier running.
Applies to
- Windows 10/11
Resolution
Please use the set of instructions that meets your needs to run Windows Magnifier.
Using the mouse
- Click Start button, then type to search Magnifier and click the result to launch Magnifier.
- If magnification power is insufficient the + sign or - sign in the magnifier window
- When finished using Magnifier click the red X button in the top right corner of the window to exit.
Using the keyboard
The magnifier can be quickly launched by pressing WINDOWS Key and Plus sign together or use the more , detailed instructions below:
- Press and hold the Windows key then press + sign key on the number row or the numberpad plus on the extreme right on a desktop keyboard.
- If the magnification power is insufficient press WINDOWS+PLUS sign or WINDOS+MINUS sign to adjust magnification power.
- When ready to finish using Windows Magnifier press ALT+TAB to switch to its window then press ALT+F4 to close.
