TactileView – Software activation

Problem

A customer has installed a copy of TactileView software and is greeted by a prompt to activate a license.

 

Resolution

Shortly after installation a dialogue window inviting the user to progress through configuration steps appears, please proceed using the steps below.

 

Register via Internet 

1.       Click Start Configuration Wizard button at the bottom of the dialogue then choose Registration Via Internet.

2.       Then enter the SPC code for your license.

3.       Then choose a company/user and click Register Now.

4.       Choose whether you wish to register the software for all users on the computer (requires administrator rights) or the current user only.

5.       Enter and confirm the required contact details for customer support and optimal use of the software. You are now ready to start using the fully registered TactileView software.

 

Register via Distributor (no internet Access)

In managed IT environmenrts internet activation may not be possible.  Please do the following:

  1. Log in as Administrative rights.
  2. Use the Register via Distributor method.  This process requires some information to be gathered and supplied to Sight and Sound to provide the necessary credentials to unlock the software.

6.       On the opening screen choose Start Configuration and then Register via Distributor from step 1 of the configuration screen.

7.       Please email following information to: support@sightandsound.co.uk

·       Your SPC

·       A user or company name

·       Version number and Computer identification code (both can be copied from the registration dialog)

·       Contact details: full name*, company, address, country* and email address* (information with an asterisk* is required)


8.0      Send the above information to support@sightandsound.co.uk to obtain the necessary unlock credentials from the developer.  Sight and Sound Support will then supply these for use in the next step to activate the software.


Offline customer activation

Please log in as Administrator to activate the software and follow the steps below.


1.     Open TactileView and choose Settings > Computer registration dialog then enter the the follow information:

SPC code
A user or  company name
The received Registration code

2.       Then choose ‘Register now’ to complete activation.
