TextHelp - Reset Read & Write settings (Mac OS)

Problem

Settings for Read & Write are corrupted or the user would like to revert to default settings for troubleshooting.

Resolution

  1. Close the Read & Write app if it is currently writing.
  2. Then click the Apple symbol top left and choose System Settings or System Preferences.
  3. In the System Settings window scroll down and click Read & Write at the bottom, Please see sreenshot below.



  4. Click the padlock symbol and enter your sign in password to continue.
  5. Then click Reset User Settings To Default Values.
  6. Then re-launch Read and Write, then test to see if the problem is resolved.
