Resolution

Points to consider:

  • Please check the camera privacy settings to see if camera access has been blocked.
  • The Mercury has two cameras (including the distance camera) Please check using the built in Windows app Camera using the steps below.
  • You can try to browse to the ReadDesk installation folder, uynderneath there will be sub folder where you may be able to run the Powershell script to reinstall the camera.
  • Please check in device manager under Cameras for "FHD Camera" if this is not present and there no unknown devices are shown the camera may be faulty.
  1. Open Start menu and search Camera.
  2. On a Mercury 12 two cameras should be available In the Camera app try selecting the Change Camera control on the top right.
  3. If the camera switched to distance the problem may be in the ReadDesk software or windows settings.
  4. If the camera did not switch the problem is likely to be a hardware issue. This problem is not uncommon with Mercury 12.
