Polaris - Unable to update using offline update procedure

Problem

Unable to update Polaris using offline update procedure.


Applies to

  1. HIMS Polaris

Resolution

One may proceed with an offline firmware update, you will need the following to hand:

  • Polaris notetaker connected to mains.

  • Access to the binary file for the update to copy to the Polaris|


  1. Open File Manager/Flashdisk.
  2. On the root level of the Flashdisk, create a folder called “osupdate” (without the quotes, no caps, no spaces).
  3. Then copy the update .bin file into "osupdate" folder you just created, and try the upgrade again.
