Unable to update Polaris using offline update procedure

Problem:

Unable to update Polaris using offline update procedure.

Problem Details:

When attempting to update a Polaris notetaker using the offline update, the notetaker is unable to find the BIN file on USB media even though it is viewable in File Manager..

Resolution:

You will need the following to hand:

  • Polaris notetaker connected to mains.

  • Access to the binary file for the update to copy to the Polaris|

    1 Open File Manager/Flashdisk.
    2 On the root level of the Flashdisk, create a folder called “osupdate” (without the quotes, no caps, no spaces).
    3 Then copy the update .bin file into "osupdate" folder you just created, and try the upgrade again.
