ZoomText - Unwanted pointer movement

Problem

You are experiencing an issue where the pointer is moving automatically to controls which is not desired.


Resolution

ZoomText has a feature that routes the mouse to a button with focus to allow you to more easily click it. However this may cause some users disturbance, therefore you may need to disable this feature:

  1. Open the ZoomText window.Then click the “Navigation” button on the far right of the “Magnifier”toolbar.
  2. Then choose “mouse” from the menu.
  3. Then in the dialogue under “Pointer positioning” uncheck “Route pointer into view when it is moved” and “Route pointer over active control".
  4. Click “OK” then click “ZoomText” menu.
  5. Choose “Configuration” and then “Save as default” and click “yes” on the confirmation prompt.
