  2. BrailleSense 6 Mini (H620B

After downloading the link copy the file to the root of the USB or SD card media before attempting the update process below.

Note
The firmware download is a binary file with extension .bin However, some versions of Windows may rename it as a .zip file. Do not attempt to extract contents from the file, instead rename the extension back to .bin. Then copy the file to the root of an external storage device such as an SD card or USB thumb drive.

  1. Connect the SD card or USB drive to the BrailleSense, and be sure the BrailleSense is connected to AC power.
  2. Press F1 to open Start menu then select Utilities and press ENTER.
  3. Then press space-1 or space-4 to select "Upgrade BrailleSense Firmware" and press ENTER.
  4. Then "Upgrade: Online" is displayed. Press "Space-4" to go to the "Upgrade: Offline" option and  Press "Enter".
  5. The BrailleSense starts the upgrade process. Please remember you must not touch the BrailleSense until the upgrade is complete. When the upgrade is complete, you are returned to the "program" menu, and "File manager" is displayed.
  6. When the upgrade is complete, check the software version by pressing "Space-V" while in the "program" menu.
