Update Polaris firmware offline

Information

Below are steps to update Polaris offline. These steps can be used for both Polaris and Polaris Mini notetakers.

Note

You must have an SD card or USB drive on which the binary update file has been placed before upgrading.

Offline upgrade steps

  1. Please connect to the AC power adaptor for the upgrade process.
  2. Connect the SD card or USB drive to the Polaris unit.
  3. Open Utilities > Upgrade Polaris firmware.
  4. Then navigate to Upgrade Offline by pressing space-4 and then pressing ENTER.
  5. Then move to the Yes button and press ENTER on it when prompted to continue the upgrade.
  6. The upgrade process will then be started. Please avoid touching any buttons during the upgrade process which may take some time.
  7. When the upgrade has completed the Program menu will be announced after the restart.
  8. Press space-V chord to hear the new update firmware version information.
