Polaris - Update firmware online

Problem

A Polaris user wishes to update their unit firmware online.

Applies to

1. Polaris
   
2. Polaris Mini
   

Resolution

Below is the procedure for updating Polaris online.

Notes

1. Please connect the unit to AC power to avoid interruption during the update process.
2. Once started you cannot cancel the update process.  Please do not remove power or attempt to reset whilst the update is already in progress. 
3. Please do not attempt to operate the unit by touching keys whilst the unit is updating.   The update time may vary depending on the speed of your internet connection and may take up to 60 minutes to update the Polaris, possibly even longer depending on the speed of your Internet connection and how many Android apps you have installed.
4. The upgrade files are temporarily stored on the flashdisk for installation. If you do not have enough memory available on the flashdisk, the Polaris is unable to update until you make room for the upgrade files.

1. Please connect to the AC power adaptor for the upgrade process.
2. Press F1 to open the Start menu and navigate to Utilities > Upgrade Polaris Firmware.
3. Then navigate to Upgrade Online and press ENTER again.
4. When prompted to continue press ENTER to confirm. The update will then begin to start downloading. Please be patient as the update may take while to download. Please avoid touching any keys whilst the upgrade is in progress the process is automatic.
5. Upon completion of the upgrade the Program menu will be announced after the unit has restarted.
6. Press space-V to hear the updated firmware version information
