Use additional Claro voices

Problem

The default voice choices are not sufficient for the user's requirement. You can explore additional voices to find something suitable.

Resolution

Download additional voices:

  1. With Claro open click ClaroRead Plus > Download more Claro voices’.
  2. Then select the Claro voice and have it download.
  3. Then afterward try selecting it and test your reading again.

If the above fails you may wish to try this test to see if you can switch to the voice you downloaded, if you are unable to switch this may indicate an issue with Mac OS that is causing problems:

  1. Click the "Apple" menu and choose "System preferences" then "Accessibility" icon.
  2. In "Accessibility then choose "spoken content" on the left hand list.
  3. Then on the right click the "System voice" drop down and see if the voice you downloaded is presen and that you can switch to it.
