Using BrailleSense 6 backup and restore application.

Below information on using the Backup and Restore application for BrailleSense 6.

Application
Preserve settings after hard reset of BrailleSense 6 notetaker.

Steps to creating a backup:

  1. Press F1 to open Settings and press letter K. Alternatively press the hotkey F3-K from anywhere within the operating system.
  2. In the backup application navigate to the “Program option check box list” and use spacebar to check any items, if you wish to backup all settings navigate to he “Select All” button and activate it using SPACEBAR. The following options are available:

• Settings Options
• File Manager Options
• Word Processor Options
• Email Options
• Media Player Options
• Radio Options
• DAISY Player Options
• Address Manager Options
• Schedule Manager Options
• Web Browser Options
• Excel Viewer Options
• Wale Up Alarm Options
• Bluetooth Manager Options

  1. After selecting all the application back up options navigate to the “Backup” button and press ENTER on it or use the hotkey ENTER-B.
  2. You will then be prompted for the path to save the backup. Accept or change the backup path.
  3. Select the drive or folder to back up to by pressing ENTER on it.

Steps for restore a backup:

  1. Navigate back to the Backup and Restore app by pressing F1 then pressing K or using the hotkey F3-K.
  2. Then navigate to the “Restore” button and activate with SPACEBAR or use the hotkey ENTER-R to restore.
  3. Then respond to the prompt for the location of your backup file and select the folder where the backup is stored and press SPACEBAR and then press ENTER go begin restore of the backup.
