A JAWS customer wishes to explore the functions of JAWS in a safe way.

Resolution

Keyboard help is mode that allows a JAWS user to explore the keyboard.  When in keyboard help mode JAWS will speak each key when pressed and will respond with information about a hotkey when a hotkey combination is pressed.  Whilst in this mode it is safe to experiment and generally orientate the user with the keyboard.
  1. To engange keyboard help mode when using the JAWS a deskop keyboard layout press INSERT+1 on the number row.
  2. To engage keyboard help mode when using laptop keyboard layout press CAPSLOCK+1 on the nummber row.
  3. When you wish to return to normal mode press the same keyboard shortcut to dissengage keybord help mode.
