Viewplus - Embosser firmware update (All models)


Problem

A customer wishes to update the firmware on their Viewplus Braille embosser.


Applies to

  1. Elite & Premier Embosser
  2. Max & Cub (Desktop) Embosser
  3. EmBraille Embosser
  4. Columbia & Delta Embosser
  5. Rogue Embosser
  6. EmFuse Color Braille Station
  7. SpotDot Embosser 

Resolution

Use the steps below after making the following preparations:


  1. Click one of the links above to access the download link for the embosser for with you need the update.
  2. Save the file to a convenient location to unpack.
  3. Connect the embosser over USB and power the embosser ready to receive the update.

  1. Open the folder where the firmware download resides.
  2. Right click or press shift+F10 and choose Extract All from the context menu, thenfollow the wizard to extract contents into a a folder.
  3. Once when wizard had completed double click or press ENTER to run the embosser firmware.
  4. Follow the instructions and select your embosser from the list when it is presented.
  5. Then choose Connect, Once the printer has connected to the software, the “Update Firmware” button will be enabled.
  6. Activate the “Update Firmware” button the update process begins.
  7. Wait for the embosser to reset, then turn the embosser off and then back on again to complete the update.
