Viewplus – Rogue embosser halts for no reason during a job


Problem

Whilst embossing a job the Viewplus Rogue halts embossing, if you attempt to print again the job is embossed from the beginning again.

 

Resolution

  1. A problem has been discovered that is fixed in a firmware update below for the Viewplus Rogue.  
  2. You will need to download the firmware update and update the embosser over s direct USB cable connection.

Firmware update steps


  1. Connect the Viewplus Rogue physically using USB table to computer that has the Viewplus drivers installed.
  2. Then power on the embosser ready to receive the update.
  3. Navigate to the location where the file has been downloaded to and right click, then choose Extract All and follow the wizard through.
  4. Them run the updater file and proceed through its wizard to send over the update.
  5. Select the desired printer in the Printer drop down menu, and then click “Connect.”
  6. Once the printer has connected to the software, the “Update Firmware” button will be enabled.
  7. Click the “Update Firmware” button and wait for the printer to reset.
  8. Then close the Rogue Firmware Updater, then turn your printer off and back on again, to complete the firmware upgrade process.
