WeWalk – Smart cane audio transmission error

Problem

When attempting to route audio from the SmartVision 3 mobile to the WeWalk smart cane an error is spoken; “Your device does not support sound transmission...”


Affected products:

  1. SmartVision 3 with WeWalk 1/2


Resolution

  1. The problem has been verified in-house, the problem is due the requirements of WeWalk for a higher Bluetooth protocol than the SmartVsion 3 supports.   The SmartVision supports Bluetooth 4.3. 
  2. There no firmware to fix the problem, it is a limitation of the SmartVision 3 hardware chipset.
