JAWS - When an edit field appears to be inaccessible on a website
Problem
A JAWS customer encounters an edit field on a website into which they are not able to enter data or JAWS does not enter forms mode.
Note
This approach has been observed to work for the DuoLingo language learning website in some of their courses.
Resolution
- Navigate to a spot immediately before the edit box.
- Then press JAWSKey+Z to disable the virtual PC cursor in the browser.
- Then press TAB to move onto the edit box of interest and enter your data.
