Duxbury - During embossing with Duxbury error "esc sequence error received higher than maximum value"

Problem

Whilst embossing from Duxbury Braille Translator (DBT) to an Index V5 embosser, DBT displays the error "esc sequence error received higher than maximum value", the Braille job is not completed.

Resolution

This error usually indicates that the values for paper size in Duxbury are greater than those in the currently used Index embosser layout. To fix the problem please check the following areas:

  1. Please check if the layout being used on the embosser is the one that has been successfully used before.
  2. Please check that the paper size in that layout is correct for the paper currently loaded in the embosser.
  3. Please check in DBT in Global > Embosser Setup that the paper size specified matches or is not greater than that in the embosser layout being used.
