Problem

A Windows user is unable to connect to internet, no wireless networks visible.

Resolution:

Please check the following:

  1. Please check in Windows Device Manager that the Wi-Fi adaptor is running without problems.
  2. You may also wish to try running any of the Windows networking troubleshooters to see if they help.

  1. Click Start button or press the Windows key and search for "Command" then right clilck and choose "run as Administrator on the result.
  2. Click "Yes" or "Continue" button when you are asked to authenticate by Windows.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following commands and press ENTER after each line. You may receive info from each command:
netsh winsock reset 
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
  1. After completing the above commands close the window and reset your computer.
