You wish to know what the controls of the Index V4 embossers.
Resolution
Written description of buttons for blind users.
On the far left, you have the On and Off buttons, then to the right of those, a Feed and Help button. These are all marked in Braille. If you press the Help button, it will read out information about the embosser including the current paper size.
In the middle you should find a Menu button. To the right of that you should find three arrow buttons - a left, up and down. To the right is an OK button.
On the right, there are three buttons - CHS, 1 and 10. The 1 key will increment a value by one, and the 10 key will increment a value by 10. The CHS key swaps it around, so that the keys will decrement a value instead.
Operation examples
Change the characters per line
- Press the menu button first.
- Press down arrow until you get to Braille Settings, then press OK.
- Press down arrow until you get to Braille Layout, then press OK.
- First option in here is characters per line, so just press OK.
- Use the 1 and 10 buttons to change the amount. Press OK when you have set it as you need it.
- Once you've done, you can press OK. You can then go down to check the other settings such as lines per page.
- After you've changed everything, press the menu button again to save and exit the menu.
Change the paper size
- Press the menu button first.
- Press down arrow until you get to Braille Settings, then press OK.
- First option here is Paper size - press OK.
- Press OK again to get into Select Paper Size, and then OK again to Set the paper size.
- Use up and down arrows to change the size. Press OK when you have set it as you need it.
- Afterwards, press the menu button again to save and exit the menu.
