ZoomText - Running Zoomtext causes Microsoft Teams black window

Problem

Whilst using Microsoft Teams with ZoomText running the Teams window may go blank or be blacked out.

Resolution


Note
Microsoft Teams has updated to New Teams and this has brought back this problem but without the possibility of disable hardware acceleration.  The developers are aware of the issue and researching a solution.



Items to consider:
• Consider trying an updated version of Zoomtext with Teams to see if this will fix the issue.
• Use below resolution steps if above is not an option or where the problem continues with latest Zoomtext version.
  1. Open Microsoft Teams, then click the three dots menu next to profile image near the top of the window.
  2. Then click Settings in the menu.
  3. Click the Genera category on the side list.
  4. Then check the option “Disable GPU hardware acceleration (Requires Restart)“.
  5. Then close and restart Microsoft Teams.
