Zoomtext - Change default Mouse Echo settings

Problem

A ZoomText customer wishes to change their Mouse Echo settings as a default setting.


Explanation

Mouse Echo allows the end user to point with the mouse and have the item underneath read, this may happen instantly or after a short delay depending on setting.


Resolution

  1. Click the ZoomText taskbar button or press CONTROL+CAPS+U to open the Zoomtext window.
  2. Click Reader toolbar tab to select Reader level tools.
  3. Click the down arrow on the Mouse Echo button.
  4. In the menu click either Hover or Instant menu items as desired echo behaviour.
  5. Then click Zoomtext menu > Configuration > Save as default.
  6. Then click Yes button when asked to overwrite default settings then default Mouse Echo settings set.
