ZoomText – Check version serial number using About ZoomText dialogue

Problem

Resolution

Use the steps appropriate to the method of operation below.

ZoomText 2024 and above

Using the mouse

  1. With ZoomText running click the ZoomText taskbar button to open the main window.
  2. Then click the ZoomText menu on the left then choose Help > About ZoomText.
  3. A new dialogue window will appear showing the following information to provide to Technical Support.

Using the keyboard

  1. With ZoomText running press CONTROL+CAPSLOCK+U to open the main ZoomText window.
  2. Press ALT follow by Z to open the ZoomText menu.
  3. Then press down arrow to locate "Help" and press ENTER.
  4. Then use arrow keys to select “About ZoomText” and then press ENTER.
  5. A new dialogue window will open, use the TAB key to hear the information provided for the following items:

ZoomText 2023 and below

Using the mouse

  1. With ZoomText running click the ZoomText taskbar button to open the main window.
  2. Then click the ZoomText menu on the left and go straight down to choose “About ZoomText”.
  3. A new dialogue window will appear showing the following information to provide to Technical Support:
