ZoomText - Font Smoothing problems and development road map
Problem
ZoomText/Fusion customers may face problems with the quality of font smoothing in ZoomText. These may still present with older versions of Microsoft Office and with the current main web browsers. Detailed below is the position with respect to font smoothing expectations by ZoomText/Fusion version.

ZoomText/Fusion 2024
- ZoomText 2024 releases with updated magnification engine, further to this development an update in December 2023 adds the improvements to font smoothing whilst using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- It is hoped that during the rest of the 2024 development cycle similar improvements may be brought to the main web browsers.
Available 2024 updates
ZoomText/Fusion 2023
- ZoomText 2023 and below are no longer in active development and will not be updated to fix font smoothing issues. Customers are advised to update to 2024 where possible.
