ZoomText/Fusion – Capslock status not changed wshen pressed

Problem

A ZoomText/Fusion user encounters a problem where they are unable to toggle caps lock state on and off using a single press whilst ZoomText/Fusion is running.

Resolution

  1. From ZoomText 2018 onwards Freedom Scientific use the caps lock key as a dedicated shift key for ZoomText functions.  Although the key can be re-assigned to number lock the way it alters the activation of caps lock cannot be disabled. 
  2. When attempting to change the status of capslock please press the key twice within a second to toggle it on or off.
