ZoomText/Fusion logon support continues to run when registry key has been set

ZoomText/Fusion logon support continues to run when registry key has been set

Problem

You are disabling the ZoomText/Fusion logon support by setting the relevant registry key but the logon support continues to run.

Application
You do not wish to have logon support enabled on a remote server to avoid interfering with use by non ZoomText/Fusion users.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Accessibility\ATs\AiSquared_ZoomTextUAC_v16
Tip

You may have to adjust the version eg. v16 to a later version.

  1. Then navigate to “StartParams” on the right should have the value "logonDisabled" without the quotes.
  2. If the logon support continues to run you can cripple it by making an adjustment in "StartExe" by deleing the path to the Zoomtedxt UAC component being loaded. This should prevent logon support working permanently.
