ZoomText – Use Speak It tool to read a control that does not speak


Problem

When using ZoomText with an application one or more controls do not speak using the low vision speech assistance.

ZoomText 


Resolution

  1. The SpeakIt tool may be used to read text that is not automatically spoken by the Low Vision speech assistance in ZoomText.
  2. One may be able to use the SpeakIt tool instead to resolve the issue. The SpeakIt tool allows you to read selected areas of the screen.
  3. the screen by clicking or dragging the mouse.  To launch the SpeakIt fool press the hotkey:  Caps Lock + Alt + S
