ZoomText/Fusion - Check local authorization

Problem

A ZoomText wishes to check the status of their local ILM authorisation.

Resolution

Please use the instructions below as appropriate to the authorization format used. For Dongle license please make sure the USB dongle is connected. If unsure about license try ILM Authorization Viewer and then try Dongle Viewer if the former produces no information.


Using a mouse

  1. Click Start button, search or scroll to ZoomText [version] where version is a four digit year version eg 2024.
  2. Then click the sub group ZoomText - Utilities [version].
  3. In the new File Explorer window double click ILM Authorisation Viewer.  This may take a short while to display license information which can be viewed or copied for record.

Using the keyboard

  1. Press Windows key or click Start button to open the start menu.
  2. Then type "ZoomText" or "Fusion" as appropriate then choose "Utilities - ZoomText/Fusion XXXX" where XXXX is the year identifier for your ZoomText or Fusion product.
  3. Then double click "ILM Authorization viewer".
  4. After a short while the ILM authorization will be displayed. If you do not see a serial number and are only showed the date and a locking code authorization is not present.
  5. Use the cursor keys to browse this information in speech and copy/paste details should you need to submit info for checking by Vispero Technical Support.

Copying information from authorization status  report

  1. Use the mouse for highlighting text or press SHIFT+DOWN ARROW from the top of the displayed information and highlight everything.
  2. Press CONTROL+C to copy,.
  3. Move to an empty document or email, and right click and choose Paste or press CONTROL+V to paste the information ready to send to support.
