ZoomText - Unable to access Fix-It Command dialog

Problem

You open the Fix-It Command dialog in ZoomText by going to the ZoomText menu, then ZoomText Support, then Tools. However the Fix-it Command edit field is greyed out or missing.


This is a known bug in the "English (United Kingdom)" user interface language for ZoomText 2021 and 2022. It was reported by S&S on 2021-07-06.


Resolution

The workaround is to change the user interface language to English United States. To do this:

  1. Go to the ZoomText menu at the top left. Choose Preferences, then User Interface.
  2. Locate the User Interface Language option. Change this from English (United Kingdom) to English (United States).
  3. Click OK, then when prompted to restart ZoomText, click Yes.
