The steps below are for installing JAWS onto a local computer or client computer on a network.
Offline installer
Please follow the points below to successfully install JAWS on a computer system managed by IT staff.
- Log in as Administrator or have the ability to promote user to admin during install
- Download the JAWS offline installer package for the correct version of JAWS to avoid problems with firewalls during installation.
- After installation restart the PC, log in as Administrator and perform a manual software activation.
- Respond to any prompts and wizardds to set up auto-start for the user, then test to ensure that the end user will be able to access the compute when windows starts.
