Mountbatten - Reset procedure

Problem

A Mountbatten Tutor (MBT) is not working as expected, a reset may fix the problem.


Applies to

  1. Mountbatten
  2. Mountbatten Whisperer

Resolution

Use the methods below to carry out Mountbatten resets.

Warning!
This procedure only for the older Mountbatten and Mountbatten Whsiperer models.  Please see Mountbatten Tutor (MBT) Resets as apropriate.

Soft reset

  1. Turn the MB off. Please disconnect all cables (You can leave the power supply on if
    you wish).
  2. Press New Line (left bottom key) + Command + dot 2 + Backspace.
  3. Turn the MB on.
  4. Release the keys once the head starts moving..
    This will reset all the commands to the Factory default.

Hard reset

  1. Turn the MB off
  2. Press Space (right bottom key) + Command + dot 5 + Enter key
    Turn the MB on
  3. Release the keys once the head is moving.

    This will reset all the commands and the memory to the Factory default.
