SensePlayer – Connect to Wi-Fi network

Problem

A SensePlayer user wishes to connect their device to a wireless network.

Resolution

  1. Typically in a domestic propterty that has broadband, access to the wireless network can be gained using the Wi-Fi network name and network password.  These details are usually on the broadband router.  Please gather these details and follow the steps below to connect the SensePlayer to join that network.
  2. Custmer who are unsure about these details should contact their provider:

  1. Press HOME key to open the menus system.
  2. Then press UP/DOWN ARROW keys to select Settings and press OK.
  3. Then press UP/DOWN arrows to locate Setup Internet and press OK.
  4. Press UP/DOWN arrows to select the network to connect to, then press OK.
  5. If the network is protected by a password an entry box will open to accept the network password. 
  6. Enter the network password key using T9 style text entry on the numeric pad, use the # key to switch keypad modes  to enter lower case, uppercase, nummbers or symbols..
  7. Once the whole password is enterred press OK button. 

    - If the password is validated then you will be connected to the network and returned to Settings menu. 
    - If the network password does not validate you will return to the list of available connections so you may re-attempt connection.

Note
SensePlayer users should note that connecting to public Wi-Fi networks will not be possible due to their use of a captive portal to provide credentials.
