JAWS - Turn off display of Braille status cells

Problem

A JAWS Braille display user wishes to disable the status cells that appear on the left of the display line. 


Resolution

  1. Press JAWSKey+F2 and select “Settings Centre”.
  2. Then type “Status” and press down arrow to locate “Placement of status cells”.
  3. Press SPACEBAR to toggle the setting though left, right or off as desired.
  4. Press TAB to reach “apply” button and press SPACEBAR on it.
  5. Then press ENTER to dismiss the “Settings Centre” window.
