ZoomText – Notification banners posted by New Teams app not visible


Problem

A ZoomText user may discover that notification banners from New Teams software recently introduced by Microsoft


Applies to

  1. ZoomText 2022 and above
  2. Fusion 2022 and above


Detail

The Microsoft Teams app has been given a refresh dubbed New Teams, it has been rolled out across most users.  In May 2024 Microsoft propose to withdraw the option to roll back to the original Teams interface.  Unfortunately the New Teams interface is causing Freedom Scientific some problems.

 

Resolution

Our current experience is that using Display Adaapter Settings utility may help to resolve this problem.  Please set the option Compatibility Mode and test ZoomText.
