FS Install – Restore JAWS default settings

Problem

The JAWS Settings have become corrupted causing malfunction or operational difficulty.

Applies to

  1. JAWS

Resolution

If the JAWS settings have become corrupted or operational difficulty they can be reset to factory dsfaults.

Using a mouse

  1. Click the JAWS taskbar button to open the main window.
  2. Click Options menu, then select Restore Factory Defaults.
  3. When prompted Yes button to confirm the operation.

Using the keyboard

  1. Press INSERT+J or CONTROL+CAPSLOCK+J to open the main window.
  2. In the JAWS window press ALT+O to open Options menu or in the JAWS context menu press UP/DOWN arrow to Options then press ENTER.
  3. In the menu press UP/DOWN arrow keys to select Restore Factory Defaults, then press ENTER.
  4. When prompted press SPACEBAR on the Yes button to confirm the operation.
