Focus - Use JAWS to adjust Braille dot firmness

Problem

A JAWS user would like to adjust the dot firmness on their Focus display.

Resolution

Adjustment for dot firmness is only available when connected to the JAWS screen reader software.  Please use the steps below to adjust:

  1. Press JAWSkey+F2 and then select Settings Centre.
  2. In Settings Centre press CONTROL+SHIFT+D to open the Default configuration file.
  3. Then in the search edit box type the word: dot
  4. Then press down arrow until you reach the setting Dot Firmness.
  5. Then press SPACBAR repeatedly until you reach the desired dot firmness setting.
  6. Then press TAB to reach the Apply button and press SPACEBAR.
  7. Then press ENTER to dismiss Settings Centre.
