JAWS – Using JAWS find

A JAWS user would like to know more about using JAWS find facility.

Resolution
JAWS find is a convenient method for users to find text strings in any document you are working on. It may sometimes be found to be preferrable to the application’s find facility.
- Press CONTROL+JAWWSKey+F or JAWSKey+F3 to engage a first text search.
- Then enter the text to search for then press ENTER. JAWS will position the text cursor on the first occurance of the searched text.
- Press JAWSKey+F3 to find the next occurance of the first searched text.
- Press CONTROL+JAWSKey+F to start a new text search.
Note
Laptop keystroke for this task are CONTROL+CAPSLOCK+F and CAPSLOCK+F3.
