Microsoft - Run Windows networking troubleshooter

Problem

A customer encounters problems connecting to a network on their computer running Windows.  

Applies to

  1. Windows 10/11

Resolution

You can use the Windows automatic Network troubleshooter to see if it can help resolve the problem.

Windows 10

  1. Click Start > Settings > Network and Internet.
  2. Then choose Status  from the left-hand menu.
  3. Then scroll down and select Network troubleshooter
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Windows 11

  1. Open Start and search then launch Troubleshooting Settings.
  2. Then choose Other Troubleshooters > Network and Internet and click Run button.
  3. Then follow the instructions to work through the troubleshooter

Other things to try

  1. Reset Windows IP settings
  2. Reinstall existing network driver
