Microsoft - Teams error message 'Bad Image' posted on screen
Problem
When attempting to start Microsoft Teams the error Bad Image is displayed. The display error may show something like the image below. Additionally when checking in apps and features the program is shown as zero bytes size.
Resolution
Method 1: Use script to uninstall Teams
Teams must be completely removed to fix the issue, this can be done most easily by running the script linked here:

- Right click the zipped file and choose Extract all in the context menu and then right click the Remove Teams file and choose Run As Administrator.
- When the command prompt window has closed restart the affected computer.

Method 2: Manually remove Teams from the system
- Open Start menu and search “Command prompt” then right click the result and choose Run As Administrator.
- At the prompt type in the following command and press ENTER to proceed:
(Get-AppPackage -AllUsers -Name "MicrosoftTeams").PackageFullName | Remove-AppPackage -AllUsers
- When the script has finished you can close the Command Prompt window.
