MiniVision 2 – No speech

Problem

The MiniVision 2 phone is turned on and operating but no speech feedback is heard by the user.

Applies to

  1. Minivision 2/2+

Resolution

In normal operation the MiniVision screen reader should be heard responding to key presses on the phone to verbalise information from the screen.  However, I no speech is heard but the phone seems to be operating normally if may mean that the volume of the speech has been turned down to zero level.

  1. Make sure the phone is powered on and at the Home screen where it is showing the time of day.
  2. Then press either LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW on the five way cursor pad.
  3. On the screen you may see a list of volume settings, look out for “Volume 0 of 15”on the display, if shown it means volume is at minimal level.
  4. Press Right arrow to increase the volume to a desired level and press OK on the five way cursor pad to confirm.
