Minivision 2 - Adjust speech rate

Problem 

A MiniVision 2 user encounters a problem with the speech rate of the screen reader and wishes to change the voice rate.

Applies to

  1. MiniVision 2

Resolution 

One may enter the menu system or use hotkeys to change the rate of the screen reader voice if it is too fast or too slow.  Below are also numeric pad shortcuts to do this.

Method 1 - Using the menu system


Menu path = Settings > Vocalization > Speech Rate

  1. From the Home screen press OK to enter the menu system.
  2. Then press DOWN ARROW until you reach Settings, then press OK.
  3. Then press UP/DOWN ARROW to reach Vocalization, then press OK.
  4. Press UP/DOWN arrow to find the adjustment you wish to use, then press OK to select it.

Method 2 - Using volume accessibility shortcuts

The following keys may be pressed together on the numeric pad to change the speech rate without going into the menu system:

* and 5 = Faster
* and 4 = Slower
