Zoomtext - version 2022 general performance deteriorates after updating to 2022.2211

Problem

ZoomText performance and general stability is worse when updating to version 2022.2211.


Resolution

It has been observed that this problem can sometimes be resolved by rolling back to ZoomText 2022.2207 may resolve the issue.

  1. Uninstall the current ZoomText 2022.2211 build leaving shared components and restart.
  2. Download ZoomText 2022.2207 installer:
    https://zoomtext2022.vfo.digital/2022.2207.14.400/C39EE606-6D92-4CE4-BA85-B3EB318D4ED2/ZT2022.2207.14.400-Offline-x64.exe
  3. Then run the installer downoaded to correct the problem.
  4. Then make sure that Zoomtext is set to run automatically for the user if this is their preference and do a test restart to ensure this happens.
