SmartVision – Clearing app cache to fix problems with a particular application

Problem

An Android phone user has encountered a problem with an Android app and wishes to clear the app cache to attmpt to  fix the problem.

  1. Kapsys SmartVision 3
 

Resolution

These steps can be applied to any application that is having trouble on SmartVisision 3 phone.
  1. Press MENU key and navigate to Settings > Apps.
  2.  Then choose the app whose cache you want to clear.
  3. Then choose Storage & Cache or Storage.
  4.  Then choose Clear Cache button and press OK.
  5. [Optional] Choose Clear data or Clear storage to erase the data associated with the app.  Please note that clearing the cache deletes temporary files the app uses while it's running. Clearing data deletes settings, passwords, and other information you added and resets the app to its defaults.

Some Android phones include a bulk option for clearing cache. If your phone has a Device care app, open the Storage section and check if there's an App cache option. From there, you can select All to clear cache for all your apps at once.
