SmartVision 3 - Problems using phone contacts app

Problem

A SmartVision 3 user encounters a problem when searching their entered contacts.  An error is displayed stating the contact does not exist; or when pressing OK on a contact does not lead to contact card being displayed to access actions for the selected contact.

Resolution

  1. Use UP/DOWN arrow keys to select the highlight Contacts in the list without opening it.
  2. Then Long press the OK button to open the context menu.
  3. Use UP/DOWN arrow keys to select Information, then press OK.
  4. Then use UP/DOWN arrow to select Storage & cache, then press OK.
  5. Then use UP/DOWN arrow keys to select Clear storage, then press OK.  This operation allows the data used by Contacts app to refresh the contacts data.
