Change the reading voice in Read&Write (Mac OS)

Information

Read&Write is supplied with a number of voices you can use for reading back text. This assumes you have already installed the desired voices but need to select them.

Steps

  1. Open Read&Write and click the icon in the menu bar, then select “Preferences”. If you are using the toolbar you can click the settings cog wheel toolbar button as well.
  2. Then click Speech in the left hand category menu.
  3. Then click the Edit voices button.
  4. Click the voice drop down and select the desired speaker.
  5. Click Play button to check the voice is working.
  6. If you need to make any changes to speech and pitch using the controls below.
  7. When done click the back button and then close the window.
